The Seattle Seahawks lost their second-round pick, Bud Clark, to a potentially significant injury early in their preseason game against the Tennessee Titans.

Clark was injured on Seattle's first defensive snap of the game. The second-round safety remained down on the ground following a 9-yard run by Titans running back Tony Pollard and was not able to get up.

Clark was tended to by Seahawks medical staff on the field. Eventually, the 24-year-old was carted off with his lower right leg and ankle in an air cast.

Many members of the Seahawks came onto the field to wish Clark well as he came off the field. Titans players, including quarterback Cam Ward, were seen kneeling on the field in wake of the injury.

Bud Clark injury update

The Seahawks did not immediately provide an update on Clark's condition. He only played one defensive snap before exiting the game.

Clark logged three total tackles in the Seahawks' first preseason game. The TCU product was expected to battle for a starting job or a key role as a backup safety in Seattle's stalwart defense.
