Former TCU safety Bud Clark suffers broken ankle during preseason game with Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks were dealt an unfortunate blow to their secondary, as former TCU safety Bud Clark suffered a broken ankle that will reportedly sideline him for several months and put his rookie season in jeopardy. Clark, a second-round pick by the Seahawks in the 2026 NFL Draft, starred at TCU throughout his collegiate career, earning All-Big 12 Second Team honors twice and an Honorable Mention in 2022.

Clark suffered the injury during Seattle's preseason game against the Tennessee Titans. The former TCU star went down on his first defensive snap of the game and had to be carted off the field with an air cast on his injured leg. For the Horned Frogs, Clark totaled 214 tackles, 35 pass breakups and 15 interceptions. He was the first TCU player selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, preceding Kaleb Elarms-Orr (Bills) and Namdi Obiazor (Patriots).
