The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a very unique position ahead of cutdown day. With the new league rules implemented after the San Francisco 49ers ran out of quarterbacks in the 2022 NFC Championship Game against the Eagles, teams have three QB options on the roster. Now, the Steelers have a choice to make. Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph are the top two options, but what about Will Howard and Drew Allar?

Here's the thing: Allar outplayed Howard in the preseason. If I were given the choice, I'm sticking with Allar over Howard, but it does feel like the Steelers are considering all four. Putting either rookie on the practice squad would get them poached, so that isn't an option. Do the Steelers feel strongly enough in this roster to give a valuable 53-man spot to a fourth quarterback?

This is one of the most interesting roster decisions for any team in the NFL.

For now, here is Wednesday's Three Rivers Report.
