Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. Arrowhead Time on ESPN and ABC; it will be locally available on KMBC-9.
Together, quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are aiming for a comeback season after the 6-11 record in 2025, ending a streak of nine consecutive years as the AFC West champion and a playoff streak that had reached 10 years.
That journey back to the top of the mountain will start against the team that took over the division's throne. The Broncos, with a 14-3 record last season, won the AFC West decisively, sweeping Kansas City in the season series.
Quarterback Bo Nix will also return from injury, which seemingly ended Denver's run at the Super Bowl a year ago; the Broncos lost to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship at home with backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham under center.
