The Bear’s Den: Bears victory of Carolina Panthers big in many ways
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA - SEPTEMBER 13: Caleb Williams #18 of the Chicago Bears reacts during the first half against the Carolina Panthers of the game at Bank of America Stadium on September 13, 2026 in Charlotte, North Carolina. (Photo by David Jensen/Getty Images) | Getty ImagesThe Chicago Bears blowout win over the Carolina Panthers merits a close look at what went right and what went wrong. Fortunately for Chicago, there was a lot more good than bad.
The Bears offense put up 59 points on a Carolina defense that finished 15th in points allowed last year and 16th in total yards. Not great, but both in the top half of the league. It was also a defense that had seen several major upgrades over the offseason.
