On the idea that Jayden Daniels can play with a brace until the offseason and then have surgery:
- Grant Paulsen (@GrantPaulsen) September 22, 2026
We just talked to a sports orthopedic surgeon. He says recovering from the surgery and being cleared for contact typically takes 6-12 months.
Even on the shorter end of that...
To update this: in talking to multiple experts in this field, always some level of a tear in a dislocation. Question is whether surgery is needed. One expert (Dr Marc Kowalsky, an ortho surgeon who specializes in elbow trauma) said they usually will opt to not perform surgery on... https://t.co/gI2xfV2tGu

The Commanders have stuffed 29% of runs for no gain, 3rd best in the NFL. They've done a really good job against Saquon Barkley and Javonte Williams so far.
- Grant Paulsen (@GrantPaulsen) September 22, 2026
I was worried about how well they'd stop the run but it's a defensive strength so far.
Kinlaw is currently 3rd in the NFL in Run Stop Win Rate at 52%, one of only 3 players above the 50% mark.https://t.co/VOlPeq3nSwhttps://t.co/yhdhR7vpuQ

#Commanders' pass blocking stats, per TruMedia:
- Tashan Reed (@tashanreed) September 23, 2026
- LT Brandon Coleman: 9 pressures, 1 sack
- LG Chris Paul: 1 pressure, 0 sacks
- C Nick Allegretti: 3 pressures, 0 sacks
- RG Sam Cosmi: 1 pressure, 0 sacks
- RT Josh Conerly Jr.: 5 pressures, 0 sacks
Lost in the copious amounts of shit that was Sunday, I thought the OLine played really well and was really moving people in the run game.

He literally dialed up the right play, the players didn't execute. C'mon man https://t.co/2eizvM1CR2

Something that I found interesting per NFLGSIS, the #Commanders offense has only used their most frequent/common lineup 5.19% of the time, the lowest mark in the #NFL.

Some version of this keeps getting mentioned.

I get the "look" isn't good, but it was the literal last play of the 1H.
Everyone involved knows they have a finite amount of time to prep w/staff, get IVs, etc. They also have to clear the field.
The refs told Washington there's no... https://t.co/1Bdsz4bM19
That's nonsense. It was half time, the players were going off the field. Multiple lineman checked on Jayden after the play and waved the doctors over. But they had to go in to the locker room for the half time break and get ready for the 2nd half. They all talked about it...

As @BenStandig also said: the officials told Washington they weren't delaying halftime. A lot for them to do at halftime between game stuff or medical attn. Guys did come back out as the situation lingered. I know this won't fit the narrative but that's what happened. https://t.co/4sILNLpg2W
