Bengals signing Mitchell Tinsley off Texans practice squad

The Cincinnati Bengals are dealing with a lack of depth in their wide receiver room for the first time in a long time. Rookie Colbie Young is out for at least this week with a knee injury, while Andrei Iosivas is on injured reserve with a thumb injury.

Dohnte Meyers got a lot of the WR3 snaps in Week 3, but a pair of special teams blunders from Ke'Shawn Williams may have the Bengals ready to put Meyers in more of a return role.

The Bengals have signed Tinsley off of the Houston Texans practice squad to their active roster. Tinsley was cut after training camp after Zac Taylor and co. chose to keep Meyers and Young over him. Now, with the receiver room banged up, they bring back a player who has produced in their offense.

Tinsley hauled in eight receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns for the Bengals last season, and now that he is back, he should be able to get back up to speed quickly. Tinsley knows the system, has experience with Joe Burrow (and Joe Flacco), and should be able to contribute if called upon.

As of this posting, the Bengals have not made a corresponding roster move to make room for Tinsley.
