[$] An update on the Sashiko patch-review system
Patch review has long been one of the limiting constraints for the kernelproject (and most others); there just aren't enough people to properlyreview all of the code that is submitted for inclusion. The Sashikosystem, which uses a large language model (LLM) to generate reviewsautomatically, offers the prospect of some relief, and has already becomean important part of the kernel's development process. At the 2026 editionof Kernel Recipes, RomanGushchin, the maintainer of Sashiko, provided an overview of howthe system works and what is being done to improve it.
