Steelers vs. Colts: Week 5 Predictions
(Photo by Michael Owens/Getty Images) | Getty ImagesThe Pittsburgh Steelers need to get back in the win column following a disappointing loss to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football. A full ten days is helpful for a roster filled with veterans, and this week kicks off a four-game stretch in which the Steelers must finish with at least a 3-1 record to maximize their chances of clinching a playoff berth. The news of Michael Pittman Jr. being placed on short-term IR is a bummer, and a potential revenge game is off the table.
The Colts come into this matchup after a win over the Washington Commanders in London. Both teams need this one.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Steelers are favored by 2.5 points at home. The over/under is 43.5, and the moneyline odds for Pittsburgh sit at -148.
Here are some prop bets to target for Sunday's matchup:
Jaylen Warren over 18.5 receiving yardsThis is stealing. Warren has been on a tear during Rico Dowdle's absence, and even if Dowdle returns Sunday, this is a lock. Given Warren's ability to create something out of nothing and Aaron Rodgers checking the football down, this can hit after a single reception. Warren hasn't finished with fewer than 27 yards receiving in a game, and that was Week 1.
Add this prop and enjoy the win.
Jonathan Taylor anytime TDFew things are as certain as a Taylor touchdown these days. Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, and Taylor are as close to locks as there are in the betting space. If the Colts get into the red zone, it's easy money and a done deal. Don't overthink this one. Betting against your favorite team feels wrong, but making money feels better, and this has to be a part of your ticket.
Taylor didn't reach the end zone against Houston, but he has two touchdowns in each of the other three contests. Don't go crazy and expect two, but one is as safe as it gets.
Roman Wilson over 41.5 receiving yardsWith the news of Pittman, Jr. being placed on the short-term IR, the time is now for Roman Wilson. Wilson has eclipsed 60 yards in back-to-back games, and 41.5 feels like stealing. Both games saw Wilson with a snap share under 40%, but that number will skyrocket, and Wilson has an opportunity to make a huge impact on this game.
