Dolphins re-signing K Zane Gonzalez, releasing K Riley Patterson

Coming off their Week 6 bye, the Dolphins are replacing their kicker.
According to Jordan Schultz of The Schultz Report, Miami is re-signing Zane Gonzalez for the role. ESPN's Adam Schefter notes the team is releasing Riley Patterson.
Gonzalez, 31, was previously with the Dolphins during the offseason program and training camp. He was placed on injured reserve in August and released with an injury settlement on Aug. 19.
In nine games for Atlanta last season, Gonzalez hit 19-of-22 field goals and 17-of-18 extra points.
Patterson missed an extra point in the Week 5 loss to the Bengals. He had also missed two field goals earlier in the season.
Miami will be on the road to face the Jets in Week 7.
