Apple updates iPod touch with A8 CPU, 8MP camera

Reports of the iPod's demise have been greatly exaggerated. Apple took the wraps off an updated iPod touch this morning. The new version gets the same A8 CPU as the iPhone 6, and its rear camera gets a bump to eight megapixels. The previously camera-free 16GB model gets this shooter, as well. Those who still carry huge music libraries will also pleased to find an Apple Store-exclusive 128GB storage tier.
