A Unique Indoor Beach Made From Clear Plastic Balls Installed in the Great Hall of The National Building Museum

The creative art/architecture group Snarkitecture has installed "The BEACH", a monochromatic indoor beach/ball pit in the Great Hall of the National Building Museum (NBM) in Washington, D.C. Created from over 750,000 recyclable plastic balls as an ocean replete accompanying beach chairs set upon the "shoreline", the installation has been drawing hundreds of people who want to experience the BEACH without the risk of a sunburn.

The National Building Museum presents a one-of-a-kind destination for visitors, an interactive architectural installation that brings the quintessential summer experience of going to the beach to downtown Washington, D.C. Spanning across the Museum's Great Hall, the BEACH, created in partnership with Snarkitecture, will cover 10,000 square feet and include an "ocean" of nearly one million recyclable translucent plastic balls
