Russian journalist Nikolai Tolstyh has created a fascinating photo series in which he colors in paper cutouts of animals with the beautiful colors of nature. Each photo demonstrates the juxtaposition of the sharp, controlled paper lines with the the nebulous flowing, colorful personality of Mother Nature - a paper koi fish is completed with a spray of roses, while a giraffe silhouette comes alive with bright yellow flowers, a field mouse is perfectly filled in by a green field - the combinations are endless, which is a perfect hobby for a self-described "art lover, bibliophile, natural craftsman and crazy heart" such as Tolstyh.
