Tommy Wiseau floats 3D remake and China release ahead of James Franco's The Disaster Artist, about the making of cult movie The Room

Tommy Wiseau, director of the notoriously bad cult film The Room, first released in 2003, has suggested he might remake the film in 3D and release the original in China.

The Room - which has been described as "the Citizen Kane of bad movies" - has been given a new lease of life outside the midnight-movie circuit by The Disaster Artist, a feature film adaption - about to go into production - of the book by Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell about the making of The Room. The Disaster Artist film is to be directed by James Franco, and stars Franco, his brother Dave Franco, and Seth Rogen.
