Australia's foreign minister, Julie Bishop, speaks with the media at COP21, the United Nations climate change conference in Paris on Monday. Bishop spoke of Australia's commitment to a global agreement on emission reduction, however her later comments that 'coal will remain critical to promoting prosperity, growing economies and alleviating hunger for years' earned Australia the unflattering mock title of 'fossil of the day'
