The 23-year-old wasn't expecting to take the ice after being called up from the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters earlier Saturday, but was summoned after starter Curtis McElhinney fell awkwardly less than a minute into overtime and was forced to leave the game.

Forsberg didn't pick up a win in five appearances last season, but made six important stops in the extra frame before Brandon Dubinsky and Nicklas Backstrom beat Braden Holtby to give the Jackets their second straight win in the shootout.
