Montreal Canadiens fans will need to be a little patient to start the New Year.

Carey Price is still not ready to get back on the ice, head coach Michel Therrien confirmed Monday.

"Carey Price's rehab is going well, but he is not ready to get back on the ice just yet." - Michel Therrien

Price has not played since exiting the game on Nov. 25 against the New York Rangers after aggravating a lower-body injury.

It was originally deemed that he would miss a minimum of six weeks, but would not require surgery.

Six weeks from the day the #Habs announced Carey Price would be out for a minimum of six weeks is a week from today.

The 28-year-old is 10-2-0 with a 2.06 GAA and .934 save percentage in 12 games this season. The Canadiens are 12-13-3 without him in the lineup.

Ben Scrivens, who will get the starting nod against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, and Mike Condon will continue to man the crease for Montreal in Price's absence.
