Like it or not, you can't beat an iPhone if you're working from home. Here on AC, I've made it no secret that I own and enjoy using an iPhone. Right now, my daily carry consists of a Google Pixel 4 XL and iPhone 11 Pro. The Pixel 4 is more fun to use, specifically thanks to its deeper level of customization, smooth 90Hz display, and better tie-in with the Google ecosystem (something I'm heavily invested in). However, as someone that works from home, the iPhone is what I find myself picking up more often during the workday. The Pixel 4 is my go-to device for watching YouTube, playing CoD: Mobile, and using other mindless apps, but the iPhone 11 Pro has a clear advantage when it comes to being a tool that helps me stay productive and on-task.That might seem like a sacrilegious thing to say on Android Central, but it's true.Little features that make my workday so much easierAs you'll find with a lot of my colleagues (and plenty of other people that work from home), Macs are of...

Chromebooks are great computers for a lot of different uses, but they are almost tailor-made for education. They're designed to perform well even with modest specs, software is hard to break, corrupt, or infect, and if a student breaks a laptop, they just need to log in on any other laptop in the school system to get back to work. There are a lot of great options to choose from, but our top pick is the ASUS Chromebook Flip C214.Best Overall: ASUS Chromebook Flip C214The ASUS Chromebook Flip C213 was one of the best Chromebooks for education for the last two years, but it was due for an update. The ASUS Chromebook Flip C214 is an update that is worth the wait. This model is slightly slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, even with a slightly bigger battery. The 11.6-inch screen is still easy to see in a wide array of angles — and even in direct 3 PM Florida sunshine — and the zinc alloy hinge allows you to rotate the screen around 360 degrees into tent or tablet mode as n...

Chromebooks are lightweight, require no real upkeep, and are durable as all get-out because they're designed for businesses and schools. It's only logical to go Chrome if you're in need of an easy computer for your kid or your grandma, especially now that most are touchscreen and all support Android apps. Neither Huawei nor the U.S. government is budging. So what happens next?If just about any manufacturer besides Huawei had faced such extreme restrictions on its software, its smartphone division would be facing a guaranteed death sentence. Yet here we are, nine months on from Huawei's initial placement on the U.S.'s "entity list," and the company's consumer device arm is very much alive and kicking. More than that, in fact -- it's pushing ahead with building out its own ecosystem, and has recently launched what might well be the best smartphone camera of the year in the Huawei P40 series. As a recap, Huwaei's smartphone software challenges are about more than just not having Google's applications and storefront preloaded on its new phones. Google services are ubiquitous elsewhere, of course, but the larger issue has to do with the under-the-hood bits and bytes that help other manufacturers' apps work, which live inside Google Play Services. Think: single sign-on for apps like Skys...

Should you trust the Board? It's all about perspective.Control was easily my Game of the Year in 2019, so there was no doubt in my mind that I would be getting its expansions, a decision unusual for me because I almost never buy DLC. The Foundation, the game's first story-based DLC, continues Control's penchant for weird horror with its own signature brand of humor while we delve deeper into the Oldest House. It doesn't break the mold and completely change up the formula, nor does it deliver a ton of new content, but instead delivers on everything that made the base game so great.Despite some repetitiveness with the missions, The Foundation does exactly what it needs to: give you more beneath the Oldest House for you to explore while expanding upon the world introduced in the base game. Plus, the stakes are higher than ever. The Astral Plane is bleeding into the Bureau, and it's only a matter of time before it destroys everything.Oldest HouseControl: The Foundation ...

Amazon Fire tablets are awesome. They're generally hundreds of dollars cheaper than iPads or even other Android tablets, and they are incredibly simple to use. Many families purchase one to share or even get Fire tablets specifically for their children. However, they don't necessarily want to give the kiddos carte blanche to do whatever they want on the devices.
