The postponement of Amazon Prime Day in the summer left a hole in our annual shopping calendar. In lieu of Amazon's event taking place, retailers seem to be using Labor Day to put their best deals in front of customers this year. All of last week through Labor Day weekend we saw amazing deals from the biggest retailers down to individual brands, though there are still a few deals you can still pick up right now if you act fast enough.Sales at retailers like Lowe's and Best Buy are running through the end of the day, so you can head there for some last-minute savings while supplies last. A few other places still have promotions running, so we've gone ahead and rounded up all of the best offers below in one easy-to-read list. Don't sleep on these deals, though, as they'll likely all be gone tomorrow or shortly thereafter.Once Labor Day is over, it might not be until Black Friday and the holiday season that we see prices this good again so be sure to make the most of these deals while...

Labor Day is at a weird time this year, if you ask me. Sept. 1 was a Tuesday, which means Labor Day ends up being a lot later in the month than usual since we have to wait for the weekend to come around again. It seems to have been pretty weird for retailers, too, because they aren't just doing weekend shopping events. The Labor Day sales are going on all week long pretty much everywhere. The Lowe's Labor Day sale is going on right now and it includes just about everything Lowe's has for sale. With all the smartphone deals going around these days, there's no reason why you should be paying full price for your next device. The new class of mobile productivity device changes how we think about working and playing.I have to admit, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has wowed me the same way the Surface Duo has. I'm not saying I'll rush to buy either because the price is still too high and these early adopter foldables haven't reached their full potential just yet. But that's coming and when it does get here, foldable devices are going to change everything we think we know about being mobile and connected. Foldables are no longer gimmicks. The Fold 2 especially drives home the idea that this sort of product is not just a gimmick. Like most of us, with the first foldables from Samsung and Huawei I simply saw a phone that stretches out into a bigger phone. While that might be useful for something like watching a show or playing a game, using a giant phone is awkward and cumbersome when you want to do something as simple as sending a message to a friend. That "problem" still exists and Fold 2 users are going to sp...

If you can't take a trip to the pool, bring the pool parties home with the best inflatable pools for any family. You can find the teensy toddler-sized splash pools of your childhood, bedecked with cute patterns and slides, or ones wide enough for whole families and deep enough for grown-ups to sink into.Built for all-summer swimmingIntex Easy Set Up PoolStaff PickFor a wide space that a four-person family (including adults) could fit inside without feeling cramped, Intex has the perfect choice. Most inflatable pools are more rectangular, so even the larger models make people stay to one end or the other. This circular shape will let you wade laps around each other. It's very large, so make sure you have a completely flat stretch of backyard to fit it. You'll also need to invest in a filter pump, as despite its name it takes a while to set up and deflate, and you'll want to leave the water inside all season rather than regularly dump 1,000 gallons.$156 at Amazon$160 at ...

The right tool for the wrong time.At one point, I was going to start this review with a sentence like, "Samsung's never really screwed up the Galaxy Note; every version has been better than the last." I got about halfway through writing that sentence and then it all came flooding back — the summer of 2016, when reports of Note 7s catching fire started trickling in. Then came the recall, then the reissue, then the second recall, then the bans. How could I have forgotten, even briefly, something that fundamentally changed Samsung, and the wider smartphone industry, so dramatically?I forgot it for a moment because Samsung's done such a profoundly good job helping us forget it. In the wake of the Note 7 debacle, the company returned the following April with the Galaxy S8, which turned out to be its best-selling flagship ever (and retains that title today), followed by the Note 8 a few months later. A year later, the Note 9 was the first premium Android phone to justify its thou...

A VPN (or Virtual Private Network) is an increasingly popular service for many people to sign up for. That's because it allows you to connect to the internet privately and anonymously. That comes with many advantages, such as the ability to hide your online identity, bypass geo-restrictions for specific content, and allow you to enjoy an extra layer of security to your Wi-Fi connection. It's no wonder that VPNs are becoming increasingly popular with so many advantages, even amongst less-tech savvy users. You don't want to spend a fortune on one though, right? So, we bet that free VPNs look super appealing right now, and we get that entirely. Why pay for something when you can enjoy it for free instead? Free VPNs may look super tempting on the surface, especially if you're a casual user, but it's important to consider the downsides involved in using a free VPN service. After all, many paid services only cost a few bucks a month, and you get a lot more functionality for that price. We'...

Chatting with the AC forums.Over the last few years, smartphone cameras have gotten really good. Whether you buy a new Galaxy, Pixel, iPhone, or even a OnePlus handset, you can rest assured that you'll be able to take excellent-looking photos. When so many phones come equipped with capable camera systems, it can be difficult to determine which one is truly the best. Each phone camera comes with its own set of strengths and weaknesses, and when you combine that with people's personal preferences, you can end up with some very different results. Some of our AC forum members have been commenting on a video that compares the Note 20 Ultra, iPhone 11 Pro, and Pixel 4a cameras side-by-side, and this is what they had to say. msm0511 09-01-2020 02:59 PM “ Usually when I do those I always end up picking iPhone the most, but it came in last place. Google's $350 Pixel 4a is a darn good phone, and using it gives me hope for Google's next flagship.Google's Pixel flagships have always had at least one fatal flaw. Usually, it's the battery, or the screen, or the memory, or software bugs — seriously, how does Google have more serious software bugs in its launch history than Samsung and LG? — but with this year's Pixel 4a, about the only flaw was that Google made us wait an extra four months before we could buy it.Seriously, this is one of the most well-rounded Pixels I've ever used. The Pixel 4a steps up the performance and gives us the battery to match it while also making the phone smaller and easier to use one-handed than even the Galaxy S20. It's a no-nonsense phone for a year where everyone is overwhelmed by nonsense and chaos.I've been using the Pixel 4a for three weeks now, and here are a few things that I absolutely adore and can't wait to see on the Pixel 5 — along with a few mistakes the Pixel 5 can remedy.1....

Samsung's most misunderstood phone of the year caught me by surprise. The Galaxy Note 20 is one of Samsung's most perplexing devices in years. It has most of the modern appointments of a 2020 flagship, including 5G support, a top-of-the-line processor, and a trio of high-quality cameras, but it also ditches the luxe glass backing of its Ultra counterpart in favor of a plastic one, and features a relatively dated 60Hz 1080p display. On paper, these compromises can make the Note 20's $1000 asking price seem hard to justify, especially given the abundance of comparably high-end options like the OnePlus 8 Pro at lower price points. But in my time with the Galaxy Note 20, I've come to appreciate it as a more practical device than even the pricier Note 20 Ultra that I used just before it. As it turns out, those hardware tradeoffs aren't so bad.Jump to:What I likeWhat's not so greatThe competitionShould you buy?The Note 20 UltraGalaxy Note 20 Ultra reviewSamsung Gal...
