The Galaxy Note 10+ is the best big phone you can buy right now
What we consider a "normal" phone size today would feel downright gigantic just a few years ago. And that normalization of large phones has made it even easier for companies to make even bigger phones at the very top end of their lineup. When you're in need of a big phone to give you the largest screen and most capabilities, the Galaxy Note 10+ is the best of the bunch. Not only does it have a huge display, but it's a great display — and everything else about the experience backs it up.Best Overall: Samsung Galaxy Note 10+It's easy to argue that the Galaxy Note defined the "phablet" category, and several generations in it's still the standard. The Note 10+ has a massive 6.8-inch display, and, wow, is it incredible. The rest of the hardware experience is as solid as it is beautiful, and conceals a packed spec sheet capable of powering anything you want to do. Battery life is great, as is its charging speed, and its cameras are some of the best available. It all adds up to ...

Hulu adding voice controls using Google Assistant speakers and displays
Support rolling out over the next several days. What you need to knowHulu is adding voice command support for Google Assistant speakers and smart displays.A Google spokesperson says it will be rolling out to users over the next several days.Once live, you'll be able to link Hulu to the Google Home app and start videos by saying, "Hey Google, watch (show or movie) on Hulu."When it comes to video streaming services, Hulu is one of the most popular choices. Unfortunately, it has lagged behind when it comes to embracing Android TV or adding new features on Google's TV platforms. A perfect example of this would be the lack of updates for the Hulu app on Android TV.It wasn't until August of 2019 when Hulu finally decided to update the Android TV app with support for new features, such as its live TV service or premium add-ons like HBO, Cinemax, and Starz. That comes over two years after the initial launch of Hulu's live TV service.Fortunately, it looks like Hulu is coming arou...

How to customize your Android phone and make it your own
Be different, not the same is more than a tagline when it comes to Android.Android provides us the freedom to change nearly everything about our phones, especially when it comes to our home screens. We aren't stuck with a bland grid of icons; we don't live in our app drawers the way iPhone users do. We can add widgets; we can add search bars and gesture shortcuts — we can have blank space wherever we want, not just at the bottom of an unfilled page! And if we don't like the way our home screens look with the launcher that came with our phone, we can ditch it and use a third-party launcher, opening us up to a whole new world of customization and theming. So, ready to make your phone your own? Let's get started.Wallpaper wonder Custom-generated wallpaper by TapetEvery phone or tablet comes with a selection of wallpapers, but those wallpapers don't usually reflect your personality. We need to change that. Wallpapers are the most basic building block of Android theming, ...
Listen up — Amazon Music is worth considering
If you haven't taken a look at Amazon Music, you're missing out!Everybody knows about (or already subscribes to) Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, Tidal, or one of a dozen other streaming music services, but I find that people often forget about or overlook one of the biggest players out there — Amazon! Amazon has been in the online music business for a long time, from selling MP3s to delivering streaming content. I remember paying .69 cents for Amazon Music MP3s when iTunes was selling them for .99 cents or even $1.29 a decade ago, and the company even brought the "free" Prime Music service to life before bigger players like Apple got into the streaming game. Now that the market is quite crowded, why should you give Amazon Music a chance? Well, I've got my reasons, and I'll share them with you here. Amazon Music FeaturesFeature for feature, Amazon's music services compare quite favorably with some of the most popular by subscription number, including Spotify and Ap...

The Moto 360 is back, but is it worth the $350 asking price?
The new-and-improved Moto 360 has received some positive changes, but they'll cost you. It's been quite a while since Motorola released a smartwatch, but the new Moto 360 is officially back — kind of. A new company, eBuyNow, is behind the release of this third-generation smartwatch, which still bears the Motorola branding. There have been some notable improvements to the smartwatch, which runs Wear OS, but it comes with a pretty hefty price tag. Nowadays, new wearables are being released left and right, so it's important to stand out from the crowd. While the Moto 360 has certainly improved in some areas, it lacks that special something. The first two models were undeniably popular, so if you were a fan of those, the new Moto 360 might have just enough to win you over. It has good battery life, impressive performance, decent activity tracking, heart-rate monitoring, NFC payments, and Google Assistant. I wish there was more given the price tag, but those who are content with a...

Nope, it's not you, casting Disney+ doesn't work on Vizio TVs
Best answer: Yes, and no. There's no built-in SmartCast app yet, and the built-in Chromecast feature doesn't work yet because Vizio's version of Chromecast built-in is outdated. Apple's AirPlay feature does work right now, and an update in December should enable Vizio's Chromecast built-in to work with Disney+.A galaxy of videos: Disney+ ($7/month at Disney+)Cast properly: Google Chromecast ($35 at Amazon)Here's what's going onThere's no Disney+ app in the built-in SmartCast operating system. Keep seeing Error 83 on Disney+? Here's why and how to fix it
Disney+ is here and it seems to be a hit. With hundreds of films from the most popular franchises on the planet — not to mention thousands of TV episodes from our childhood — it's little wonder that Disney+ is popular. However, when errors invade your movie marathon, things are anything but magical. There's a few different errors Disney+ can spit out when things go awry, but Error 83 is by far the most prevalent error you come across. Here's a few of the reasons you may be seeing it, and what you can do about it.Reason #1 — Server timeoutError 83 is one of the most common errors. When the servers are overloaded and your Disney+ session can't connect to the servers fast enough to pass a DRM/account check — or can't connect at all — Error 83 is what Disney+ displays when it can't play your video as requested. This is far and away the most common reason to see Error 83, and dealing with it can take a few forms:Try again. These are the best Chromebooks for students in 2019
Chromebooks are great computers for a lot of different uses, but they are almost tailor-made for education. They're designed to perform well even with modest specs, software is hard to break, corrupt, or infect, and if a student breaks a laptop, they just need to log in on any other laptop in the school system to get back to work. There are a lot of great options to choose from, but our top pick is the ASUS Chromebook Flip C214.Best Overall: ASUS Chromebook Flip C214The ASUS Chromebook Flip C213 was one of the best Chromebooks for education for the last two years, but it was due for an update. The biggest and most powerful of them, the S11+, had previously been leaked thanks to unofficial renders and showcased a rather unorthodox and, arguably, messy arrangement of the claimed five rear cameras. Puma Smartwatch review: This Wear OS watch is far from purrfect
This is the sporty smartwatch people are looking for ... held back by low memory and Wear OS shortcomings.Fossil's biggest accomplishment in smartwatches is being able to bring together an incredibly diverse set of well-known brands under a common platform. It's unlikely that Puma would be able (or willing) to make a competent smartwatch on its own, so this partnership with Fossil is a complete win-win like every other brand partner. Puma gets to leverage its well-known brand and design capabilities, and let Fossil handle the internals and capabilities. The result is a Wear OS watch that feels incredibly familiar, sharing its platform with several other smartwatches, but one with a unique style that separates it from the rest of the fashion-focused market. The best Android smartwatches you can buyAt a glancePuma Smartwatch ...

Two months on, only a handful of apps use the Pixel 4's face unlock
Much has been made about many aspects of the Pixel 4 that hinder its usability, chief among them being battery life. But one thorn that's continually poked at my side since first receiving my Pixel 4 XL has been weak app support for face unlock authentication. Face unlock's problem isn't technology, it's app developers. As I noted in my Pixel 4 XL review, "face unlock's problem isn't technology, it's app developers." Face unlock works incredibly well, and I actually prefer it to a fingerprint sensor, but it's entirely useless if apps don't support it. And when they don't, you're worse off using a Pixel 4 than a Pixel 3 or any other phone out there because you don't have a fingerprint sensor to fall back on. You're back to using usernames and passwords on your $800+ phone. We maintain a list of apps that support face unlock, and while I can't claim it includes every face unlock-enabled app I know we have most — and all of the notable names. And the list is sad: it's still...
