The DoorDash 250 was an exciting road race. It ended with only two cautions, with Denny Hamlin taking the worst damage with 19 laps to go and wasn't able to finish the race. The race wasn't all bad for Denny Hamlin as he was able to get the Stage 1 victory, Kyle Busch continued his success and won Stage 2 making it his second Stage win of the season and his first Stage win at Sonoma. As the race continued, Martin Truex Jr. showed his determination late in the race as he captured the lead and didn't look back. Martin Truex Jr. was able to secure the Toyota/Save Mart 350 win, making it his second victory of the year.

St. Louis City SC and LA Galaxy faced off in St. Louis. The game kicked off dominated by LA, but St. Louis quickly brought the heat and challenged them for a half of almost-equal possession. Both teams got eight shots off on goal, though none were successful and halftime arrived nil-nil. In the 68th minute, Nicholas Gioacchini tapped it in off a cross from the center of the box to give St. Louis City a 1-0 lead. In the 85th minute, LA’s Douglas Costa sent a cross to Daniel Aguirre and he tapped it in from very close range to level the score. The match came to a 1-1 finish.

The DoorDash 250 was a very clean race. The race ended with only two cautions and a few spin-outs but no major wrecks. Kyle Larson came out blazing and got the clean sweep and won Stages 1 and 2. Larson was able to lead most of the race but as the race dwindled down, Aric Almirola was able to steal first place. Eric and Kyle battled things out with Larson trying his best to get the lead back, but in his effort to get the lead, he took a wide turn with eight laps to go and fell to third place with A. J. Allmendinger taking second place. Aric Almirola was able to hold off Allmendinger and Larson to capture the big upset win at the DoorDash 250 at Sonoma Raceway.
