Iain Duncan Smith, the work and pensions secretary has resigned from David Cameron's cabinet. Duncan Smith submitted his resignation to Cameron on Friday night in a letter in which he cited the plans to cut disability benefits - the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) - as the main reason for his move .
