World War II pilot Elaine Harmon is finally laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery

Story ImageThe US government didn't officially recognize retired WASPs as military veterans until 1977, and didn't grant them burial rights in Arlington until 2002. Last year, Harmon died about a month after the Army revoked those burial rights over concerns about available space at the cemetery.
