Panthers co-owner insists Gallant was offered ride following dismissal
Gerard Gallant was not stranded after being fired by the Florida Panthers on Sunday.

That's what Panthers co-owner Doug Cifu maintains, at least, after a bevy of photos emerged of Gallant waiting for a taxi outside PNC Arena in Raleigh after being let go.

General manager - and now interim head coach - Tom Rowe added the following during a conference call Monday:
Rowe on Gallant at the curb: "We wanted to get Gerard away from the locker room. The optics, we handled as best we could given situation."
