Join us Tuesday, May 8, for Google's biggest show of the year, Google I/O 2018. We'll be reporting live from the show starting with our keynote liveblog, which starts at 10am Pacific, 1pm Eastern and should last about 90 minutes.

This year, Google I/O promises to bring the launch of the second Android P Developer Preview, which is probably picking up iPhone X-style gesture navigation. We're expecting to see the unveiling of Material Design 2-Google's newest iteration of its design language-and probably an Android TV dongle. To prep for the show, you can read all our expectations for Google I/O 2018 right here.

Once again, the show takes place outdoors at Shoreline Amphitheatre, which is just down the road from Google headquarters in Mountain View, California. Outdoor tech reporting took a lot of getting used to the first year, but by now we're hardened veterans of this strange clash of technology and nature. We'll be there with sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hope that the typical 72-and-sunny California weather holds up.
