Five years after German chancellor Angela Merkel's famous words, "Wir schaffen das!" or "We can do this!" many of her critics' worst predictions on Europe's migrant crisis have not come to pass, says Constanze Stelzenmuller, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.
