A man and woman are facing charges after an armed convenience store robbery in Brantford Wednesday.

Brantford police were called to the store at Erie and Gladstone avenues around 6:45 p.m. Nov. 18.

A man and woman had tried to shoplift several items, and after being confronted by the store clerk, the woman brandished what appeared to be a gun, police said.

No one was hurt and the pair fled on bicycles.

During the robbery, the man's face was exposed. Police claim they were able to identify the suspects from video.

Several hours after the robbery, around 11:40 p.m., police arrested the pair. Officers seized a CO2 BB air pistol that is believed to have been used during the robbery.

A 41-year-old woman, of no fixed address, was also confirmed to be wanted on several outstanding warrants. She is charged with pointing a firearm, weapons dangerous, concealed weapon and robbery with a firearm.

A 47-year-old Brantford man was charged with robbery and fail to comply with a release order.

Both were held for bail.
