Find the ips of all machines connected to my local network

Is there some way to find the ips of all machines connected to my local network without going to each machine and running ifconfig?

I want to try a reverse use of rsync, get files from a remote machine to my localhost.

Normally, I just use rsync to send files to my older laptop as a backup.

Imagine you had a room full of computers (I don't) and you want to collect all the files in /home/user/python/classwork/latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=UxdM37F9_Cs:9-9bqK3llhk:F7zBnMy latest?i=UxdM37F9_Cs:9-9bqK3llhk:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=UxdM37F9_Cs:9-9bqK3llhk:gIN9vFwUxdM37F9_Cs
