NSW government sacks entire Central Coast council after inquiry into financial management

Council had been suspended and an interim administrator appointed after its $41m deficit more than doubled over seven months

Every councillor at the Central Coast council has been sacked by the New South Wales government after a report on its financial management.

Local government minister, Wendy Tuckerman, on Thursday tabled a report on the public inquiry into the council and terminated all of the councillors, effective immediately.
