Up to 3 million patients in England could have their surgery delayed because of the looming NHS-wide strikes by nurses, new research shows.
A total of 2.99 million people are waiting to have an operation at the dozens of hospitals in England where members of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) will start striking next month.
