Parents in Australia are still buying prams, car safety seats and feeding products for their young children amid rising household costs, but they are leaving toys and other products designed to entertain on store shelves, dampening profits for nursery retailers.
Australia's biggest specialised infant product retailer, Baby Bunting, has reported a steep fall in net profit to $2.7m in the six months to December, down more than two-thirds from the corresponding period.
