EU audit of migration funding with Turkey

Following a 2016 deal, the European Union sent 6 billion euros to Turkey to support refugees in the country and prevent asylum-seekers from crossing into Europe. The deal served as a template for later agreements with Egypt, Libya and Mauritania. But a new audit of the money spent raises questions of transparency and how effective the funds were.
