French directors Benoît Jacquot and Jacques Doillon detained over sex assault allegations

Both men deny claims by actor Judith Godreche, who has formally accused them of abusing her as a teenager

French authorities detained leading film directors Benoit Jacquot and Jacques Doillon on Monday for questioning over accusations of sexual abuse, sources close to the case said.

An AFP journalist saw both men, who have denied the allegations, arrive at a police station in Paris on Monday morning, accompanied by their lawyers.
