Venezuela's opposition presidential candidate seeks exile in Spain — joining hundreds of thousands of his countrymen

Edmundo Gonzalez's exile, and Spain recognizing him as the legitimate president of Venezuela, has set off a diplomatic storm. But Spain is an enticing choice for Venezuelans, beyond international politics. It's now home to hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans who've fled hardship or persecution, in part because of the historic ties between the countries, and all they share in common.
