Report finds Mx X should have been removed from flight but was instead given an injection of an antipsychotic drug without content

A handcuffed immigration detainee was injected with an antipsychotic drug without their consent as they were being forcibly deported by Australian Border Force officers.

Chemical restraint had been applied to Mx X during the removal process and this was done without Mx X's consent," a 20-page report by the commonwealth ombudsman said.
