Turkish government calls on women to have at least three children

In January, Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan named 2025 as the "Year of the Family," unveiling financial incentives for new parents and urging couples to have at least three children. Over the past two decades, Turkey's fertility rate has slid from 2.6 to 1.5 births per woman, a record low that has politicians concerned about an aging workforce.
