4th of July Transit Service

Tomorrow is a Independence Day, so Puget Sound transit agencies are running reduced schedules. To help everyone travel to and from the celebrations throughout the region, some agencies are running extra service. The schedule changes are outlined below. Click on an agency's name to view the official announcement.

  • 1 Line: Sunday schedule (every 10-15 min) with extra trips running until 2am. Between 2am and 3am, trips will only run on part of the route. View the official schedule for more details.
  • 2 Line: Sunday schedule (every 10 min) with extra trips running until midnight.
  • ST Express: Sunday schedule
  • Sounder: No service
  • T Line: Sunday Schedule
King County Metro
  • Bus Routes: Sunday service with some reroutes planned in Bellevue, Bothell, Burien, Issaquah, Kent, Kirkland, West Seattle, and downtown Seattle. Check Metro's service advisories to see impacted routes/trips.
  • Trailhead Direct: Trailhead Direct routes will run on Friday. Details of these routes are discussed in a previous post.
  • First Hill Streetcar: Regular service
  • South Lake Union Streetcar: Regular service with extended hours. The last streetcar toLake Union Park will depart at 9:45 p.m.No streetcars will operate during the Lake Union fireworks display, 10:15pm to 10:45pm. After the fireworks display the last trip to downtown Seattle will leave Lake Union Park at about 11:15pm.
  • Water Taxi: Regular weekday service
Washington State Ferries
  • Seattle/Bainbridge: Weekend schedule
  • Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth: Weekend schedule
  • Edmonds/Kingston: Weekday schedule with an extra sailing departing from Kingston at 12:20am and departing from Edmonds at 12:55am.
  • All other routes: Normal Friday schedule
Community Transit
  • Swift: Sunday schedule
  • Bus Routes: Sunday schedule
  • DART Paratransit Service: Sunday schedule
  • Zip Shuttle: 5am to 10pm in Lynnwood, Arlington, and Lake Stevens and 6am to 8pm in Darrington
Pierce Transit
  • Bus Routes: Sunday schedule
  • Paratransit SHUTTLE: Reservations: 8am to 5pm; cancellations and same day trip information: 6am to 10pm
Everett Transit
  • Bus Routes: Sunday Schedule
  • Paratransit Scheduling Office: 9am-3pm
  • Parade Shuttle: The free parade shuttle will run between Everett Station Bay I-1 and a stop on northbound Hoyt between Pacific and Wall in front of the Imagine Children's Museum. Shuttles will run approximately every 5 minutes from 9:30am until 11:10am. Shuttles will stop running during the parade, resuming from 12pm to 1:40pm.
  • Freedom Festival Shuttle: Before the fireworks, this shuttle will run approximately every 5 minutes from Walt Price Student Fitness Center on Tower to W. Marine View Drive and Alverson from 2:30pm to 9:30pm. After the fireworks, shuttles will run continuously from W. Marine View Drive and Alverson back to Tower Street near College Station until everyone has been transported. More info on both shuttles can be found here.
Kitsap Transit
  • Bus Routes: No Service
  • Worker/Driver Buses: No service
  • DART Busses: No Service
  • Vanpool: Contact your Vanpool operator for information about holiday vanpool service.
  • Local Ferries: No Service
  • Fast Ferries: No Service
  • ACCESS: Call Customer Service at 1.800.422.2877 for service details.
