‘No Palestine left to recognise’ if world doesn’t push for two-state solution with Israel, Penny Wong warns

Anthony Albanese spoke to Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday about humanitarian aid

Australia's foreign affairs minister, Penny Wong, has warned the failure of the international community to help form a two-state solution through ending the war in Gaza may mean there is no Palestinian state left to recognise, as Australia pushes for Israel to sign a ceasefire and urgently speed up the flow of aid.

Calling for a two-state solution and for Hamas to release the remaining 7 October hostages, Anthony Albanese used a call with the Palestinian Authority president, Mahmoud Abbas, to push for humanitarian aid to be allowed into the war zone.
