Chikungunya spreads in China

China is experiencing its largest-ever outbreak of chikungunya, a mosquito-borne disease that causes fever, nausea and severe joint pain. More than 8,000 people have contracted the disease around the Guangdong province. Health authorities are enacting strict protocols to contain the spread.
