Chinese language 'open mic' events are about more than just comedy

There are plenty of jokes and lots of laughs. But Chinese language open mic events called "Nuzhizhuyi" - which translates to "feminism" from Mandarin - are not just about stand-up comedy. These get-togethers in New York City also serve as opportunities for activists, students and young professionals to meet, engage in group therapy and share perspectives on life in both the US and China.
