Police make arrest after boy injured in attack at Reading college

Student in hospital but injuries not thought life-threatening, Thames Valley officers say

Police have made an arrest after a student was injured in an attack at a college in Reading.

Armed police were sent to Reading college, in Berkshire, on Thursday afternoon following the assault. The boy's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, according to a recorded message on the college's phone line.
