There’s a ‘worrying rise’ in deaths from landmines

A new report by the International Campaign to Ban Landmines raises concerns about a sharp rise in the number of people killed or injured by landmines. The majority of the casualties are civilians, it said. This comes at a time when five European countries are walking away from a decades-old treaty that banned the production and use of landmines.
