A supergroup of humpbacks signals hope for whales

Off the coast of South Africa, scientists have reported more frequent sightings of "supergroups" of humpback whales. But in December, a photographer saw something unprecedented: a supergroup of some 300 humpbacks. It's considered a promising sign that the species is recovering after the 1986 ban on commercial whaling.
