Filipino migration to San Diego ramped up at the turn of the 20th century, when the Philippines became a US territory. As the US military set up bases in the Philippines, families stationed there planted gardens - and sent tasty island produce home. Elaine Alfaro brings us the story from KPBS in San Diego.
