In Canadian prisons, AI is giving Black inmates harsher conditions

Prisons in Ontario are using an AI program that claims it can "predict" prisoners' behaviors. But it's sending a disproportionate number of Black inmates to maximum security detention. That's according to a report by journalist Desmond Cole in The Breach, an independent media outlet. Cole speaks with The World's Host Marco Werman about the algorithm that seems to be replicating systemic racism.
