After gaining independence from the US 80 years ago, many Filipinos migrated to the United States - and settled down in San Diego, home to one of the largest Filipino communities today. Slowly, they built institutions, such as churches and restaurants, to make it more like home. KPBS reporter Elaine Alfaro reports on how they've maintained their cultural identity.
