Iran-backed Houthis make major gains in Yemen that could further choke trade

In Yemen, the Houthis - a rebel group backed by Iran - have seized more strategic territory along the Red Sea. This now includes islands in the middle of the narrowest portion of the Bab al-Mandab Strait, a geographic bottleneck through which more than a tenth of global trade flows. The World's Carolyn Beeler learned more from Ibrahim Jalal, an independent security analyst and political advisor from Yemen.
