The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is continuing to grow; while cases have plateaued in the original epicenter, transmission is shifting to new regions with limited healthcare infrastructure. At the same time, a clinical trial for an experimental vaccine for healthcare workers is underway; this particular strain of Ebola has no current treatment or vaccine.
