New design! Not the same! Different. More colors. Has the new-car smell.
Well, if you made it here it means the gnomes have done their jobs and rearranged the internet tubes so that you could get here to the new server. Here are a few things about this iteration of the site before we get back to the stupid news.
- Much easier now to get at older posts if you want to do that. You can use the pull-down menus to browse by category. There's a search box that actually works. Below the fold on this page and in the sidebar of pretty much every other page you will be presented with the headlines of several posts randomly selected from the 3,000+ in the database. Just imagine the billable time this will allow you to waste.
- As you can see this edition has a lot more images. Each post has a featured image, for one thing, like the big one up there. You will notice that the big one up there is also the featured image used in the vast majority of older posts. Why haven't I picked a great featured image for every post? Because there are over three thousand of them, for God's sake. I will be working on that as time permits, but it will take a while. So I hope you're more or less okay with this default image.
- You will also run across broken links in the older posts, mostly because news sites (for example) don't keep those updated forever. Most of those were broken at the old site, so hopefully that's not a deal-breaker. If you see links that look like this, that means I haven't fixed them yet.
I'll be tweaking things for a while but let's see how this goes. Hope you like the new site.
Now if you'll excuse me, I just learned that a lawyer named Sol Invictus who is currently running for the Florida Senate has admitted that he once killed a goat and drank its blood. So I've got work to do.
