Elon Musk had a 40-minute interview with TED's Chris Anderson on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the TED 2017 conference in Vancouver.

Elon talked about make tunneling ten times cheaper. The plan is to make tunneling machines over 14 times faster than they are today. This would get tunneling machines up to a snails pace.
